Zombie Baseball 2 and IPhone Projects Released
After many months of hard work, the projects Zombie Baseball 2: Chain Combo Factor and the version of Zombie Baseball for IPhone are finished and out there for the people to enjoy them.
About Zombie Baseball 2, I've designed a different style of game, a 2D action brawler game, where the key of the game is to learn to do key combos to beat all the enemies in your way. If you have played arcade fighting games on your computer (King Of Fighter, Street Fighter, Art of Fighting, Mugen...) sure that you will love the challenge. You can check the awesome result in this trailer.
Star Trash Game Developer Community
If you are interested in Flash game development, I hope this new will take your interest.
I would like to present the community for game developers StarTrash-Universe. The creation of this community is due to try to expand with more adventures the universe of characters created by the Star Trash games. A lot of existing resources (graphics, sounds, code) will be provided to the interested game developers who can be interested to give their point of view of the universe. Be free to check all the information about how to participate in this community.
The Ultimate Bomb
Nowadays the humans have done enough research of weapon technology that we would be able to finish with all the life of the planet Earth. But what would happen if humanity's playground would become all the universe. As the time goes on, the other planets would be terraformed, new civilizations would appear, new conflicts would arise and finally the different planets will improve their weapon technology until the level that someone would discover The Ultimate Bomb, the one that could destroy the whole universe.
At that point, the big universal hot wars would disappear, but what would happen if a crazy group of people planned to use that ultimate weapon? This is the crazy background inspiration of this title Star Trash: Collapse
3 Millions of Views for Zombie Baseball
Today Zombie Baseball has hit the milestone of 3 million of views since it was released the 24 of October of 2008. Even two months after disappear from the big Flash Game Portals, the game is receiving an average of 15K views/day.
This success has been possible thanks to the awesome work of David Ferriz and Daniel Martin. Thanks a lot to you.
Zombie Baseball is joining another group of FreeCreationGames that have received more than 1 Million of views like Closing Dimensions, Deconstructor and Sun Stories.
Good or Bad at Christmas?
Now that the year is ending I would like to do a small summary of what has happen.
First of all, I would like to present you the new game developed, Rudolph Red Race, it's a traditional Christmas game where you control the Rudolph to guide through 6 locations where to release presents to the houses. But in this case it has an interesting twist. Since Santa has magical powers you can decide to be good spreading love and happiness or to be bad and blow everything up, a little bit like the game Fable. The original game idea is from HybridWing and it has been a pleasure to work with such a good communicator and professional Flash artist.
Going Multiplayer
Develop a multiplayer game is really expensive if you try to develop everything by your own. You must to have your own server, your own IP address, a process manager to organize the multiplayer game and finally the process to manage the individual game created. Not many people can afford to develop such structure, so proposals like Nonoba who give the tools to make easy for developers to focus their work on game multiplayer communications are welcomed.
Fruity Mole is the first game we have developed using Nonoba API to offer a challenging two player experience.
Family Friendly
Dad&Son is the totally opposite to the previous game. In this case it's really family-friendly since the story is about a father that plays with his son who is trapped in an "evil" stack of blocks. So the game is for all the ages ^_^. Play Dad&Son.
In this case, the game is developed using the physics library Box2DFlash. I've enjoyed developing a physics related game and also I've developed a small tutorial to help the programmers to deal with collisions in Box2DFlash, because there are a lot of new game ideas to explore through the physics that I would like to see.
Halloween: Time To Cut Some Heads
It has been a lot of time that I really wanted to develop a game like Zombie Baseball, an adult gory game. The initial idea came from a mix of good experiences. When I was a child I liked very much when we played to Baseball in the streets. We didn't have a lot or resources, usually we used a tennis ball and we hit it with any stick we could found or simply with the fist.
From the other side, I'm a good fan of SciFi and Zombie movies. Now I can remember a recent good one like I'm Legend or 28 Days Later. Finally the idea appeared as a defense game. Later I realized how much fun was to cut the heads of the zombies, a real pleasure that keep me improving my maximum combo of heads cut, here you can see my maximum combo recorded.
Puzzle with classical taste
Recently I have finish a collaboration about programming a design of TayKrOn Games that I hope you will enjoy. The game has the good taste of classical match-3 games but with some new features that will surprise you. Play Squarix.
Video Collage Anniversary
It has been two years since the FreeCreationGames.net appeared in the net. I have had the chance to explore new interactive ideas through Flash games sometimes with success and sometimes not. It usually happens when you try to push the boundaries of interaction and well established gameplay formulas. It has been a hard way but I have had the chance to know great and enthusiastic people.
At the same time I have been developing more traditional games in mobile game industry. These games were responsible that I always keep in mind the importance of a good planning and the importance of the early identification of the more critical parts of the code considering the huge difference between the mobile devices. Thanks to this good management I have been able to reach at deadlines almost without crunch.
